MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Juli and I would like to wish all of you a very merry Christmas! It has been an amazing year here at La Fuente. Juli and I have been involved in some amazing ministry opportunities and have seen tons of growth here in Tepic. This year we have continued pastoring the youth at various mission churches and had the chance to launch a new youth group at another one of our church plants that has already seen tremendous results. We have seen all the groups grow this year and what is even more exciting is seeing the kids mature in their walk with Christ. God is doing something amazing in this area and is really impacting the young people. |

In addition to the youth pastoring I am in charge of all of the short-term mission teams that come to serve here in Tepic, this year we hosted several teams and were able to see many lives impacted. We have also had the opportunity to assist in several construction projects as well as food and clothing programs for some of the local people. We are excited to see God continuing to bless the area.
Juli and I are extremely excited for 2010 and know that God will continue to work through La Fuente Ministries. Starting in January my wife and I will have a new challenge, we have been asked to take over the Pastor role of one of our church plants and after prayerfully considering it have said “Yes!” We have already worked in the church as youth pastors for the last two years and can’t wait to move into the new role that God has for us. We are so excited to see what God does at our church plant in Valle de Nayarit!! Thank you all for your continued prayer and support.
Juli has had an amazing year in school and has just finished another semester towards her nursing degree. She is getting amazing grades and was just ranked 7 out of the 200 students in her class!! (I like bragging about her, she’s pretty cool) She is really excited to get up there and meet you guys! We are currently working on her green card so that we can make unlimited visits to the states in the future. I am also doing great and ready to see what more we can do in 2010! Looking back I can’t believe that a year has passed already, so many things were accomplished. You guys are an amazing part of all that is happening here and we are so grateful for all of your help! I hope that you all have an AWESOME Christmas and an AWESOME New Year. God Bless you all!!

Merry Christmas From the Simon’s
Merry Christmas everybody, I just want to give everyone a quick update of our year. Of course we had a very busy year. They seem to get busier every year.
I stay very busy overseeing five churches in the towns surrounding Tepic as well as helping out where I can at the main church. I did a lot of construction this year which has been keeping me in great shape. I started working on my Masters Degree in theology. I should be done in a few more years. Between being a husband, father, pastor, and student, I feel overwhelmed sometimes but I thank God every day that He has given me the strength to do everything.

Azucena is a full time mom. She is the greatest mom in the whole world. This year she stayed busy organizing a number of kids events that we did in La Fuente. These included a number of VBS programs and speaking at an event at the main church called Explosion where we had over four hundred kids. In September she took a part time job teaching English at Andrea’s school. It is only a few hours a week and the parents have been very pleased with the results that they have seen in their kids.
Andrea turned five in September. She is in her third year of pre-school. Next year she will be starting first grade. Her English is getting much better, (probably due to her great and sexy teacher). This year we bought her a bike and little by little she has been learning to ride it. Pretty soon she will be flying all over the neighborhood.
Vanessa is now 2 ½ years old. She is the cutest little two year old that I know. She speaks some language that I have never heard of before. It is a mix between English and Spanish as well as some gibberish mixed in. I guess it would be called Spanglisherish!! (Sorry, bad joke)! She is a little princess and she acts just like one.
The ministry is doing great. We recently took over a church in a town that is located between Tepic and Puerto Vallarta. The town is called Las Varas and it is about an hour and twenty minute drive. The pastor was having some trouble and he gave us the church. There are about 120 people in this church. I drive down with a team every Sunday and we do the morning services. Next year I will be going down to do a mid-week service as well.
The church in Compostela has done great this year. My goal was to hopefully find some land this year to purchase for the church building. Not only did I find some land but we paid cash for it and we started to build on it. We will be holding a service there on December 26th.
Thank you all for your love and support this past year. We hope that you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
